IT'S THE PEOPLE WHO MAKE ST. BARNABAS SO SPECIAL!

St. Barnabas is a diverse community of people who are faithful in worship and service.  We are welcoming to everyone!  Everyone.  Many of us have come from other Christian denominations and some from other religions.  We are old and young - students, employed, unemployed, and retired - single, partnered, married, widowed, and divorced - we are differently educated from PhD's to high school graduates to drop outs to still in school - we are Anglo, Hispanic, Black, Navajo.  If you are looking for a faith community, there IS a place for you here.

LEIGH WAGGONER is our Rector - our priest and pastor.  She came to us in January from Wisconsin with her husband, Bob.  She is a mother to four adult kids - 3 sons and 1 daughter - and grandmother to 3 grandsons.  She loves to preach and to teach.  She values worship done well, and is very creative.  She would love to meet you.

BETSY JONES is our office guru.  She knows everything and everyone and keeps things humming.  When you call the office you will talk with Betsy.  She will make you feel welcome and cared for, and probably she'll make you laugh.  She has been at St. Barnabas since the earth was cooling.

NANCY COLBERT is our organist.  She is a member of AGO (the American Guild of Organists) and puts our Tracker Organ through its paces.  She cares passionately about music, the environment, her daughter, Holly, and her horse.

CATHIE EVERETT is our keyboard player.  She has the most amazing gift of playing by ear.  All she has to do is hear a song a couple of times and she can play it - with both hands!...and well!

JERRY HART is the director of Grace's Kitchen.  He loves to cook.  Good thing, because he is in our kitchen almost every day of the week thawing, simmering, or putting the finishing touches on another meal for our patrons.  He also oversees the Thanksgiving Dinner and Soups of the World, a fundraiser for the Bridge Shelter.

SALLY TOMKINS is our lead Sunday School teacher.  She has been working with St. Barnabas kids for ever so long and still loves it because she loves kids.  She thinks Godly Play is the best.
