CHRISTIAN FORMATION AT ST BARNABAS
CHILDREN'S SUNDAY SCHOOL
Our 3-11 year olds meet with a faithful group of teachers and helpers at 10:00 on Sundays during the school year.
The Atrium is the sacred space where the 3-7 year olds learn about Jesus and his teachings, the sacraments of baptism and Eucharist, and much more. This Montessori based approach to Christian formation is called Catechesis of the Good Shepherd. It is predicated on the belief that children already have a relationship with God, even before they come to us.
Our 8-11 year olds are learning foundational Bible stories and talking about how they pertain to their lives. The curriculum is called Holy Moly and includes an engaging video the kids love.
ADULT CONVERSATION AND STUDY
On Wednesdays at 11am you may find us reading and studying a book of the Bible, engaging with a video series on the faith, or reading a book together. It is always a thoughtful engagement with some aspect of the faith, and you would be more than welcome.
During special times of the year, particularly Lent and Advent, we have adult classes. They are often tied to a meal. Check with the office for what might be coming up.
